Cooling Tower Management

WAPPSYS COOLMAX MANAGER offers Energy savings and cooling water treatment solutions (Water and energy management) to prevent biofouling, scaling and corrosion with automatic blow down, chemical dosing etc. Tread sewage from buildings/townships is becoming the pure source of water as cooling tower makeup because of scarcity of fresh water. Wapp’s Cooling Tower Management solutions are automated with technology/service offering for Buildings, Power Plants & Industries.

Our cooling tower management solution consist of

  • Bromine/Tower (biocide+ scale inhibitors corrosion control reagents) pro tablets for small cooling towers with pH/ blow down control.
  • Very extensive controls including:
    • Energy management- fan + Pump including condenser monitoring.
    • COC/LSI monitoring-blow down control
    • Automatic chemical dosing
    • Corrosion monitoring & control
    • Optimizer-To optimize the cost of ownership of the cooling tower based on total cost.
    • Specific liquid formulation consist of Non oxidizing biocides( Total legionella control)
    • Anti Scalants
    • Corrosion control/Preretention
    • Optimized to perform at high pH/LSI, High COC etc.
  • Remote monitoring solution for cooling towers in various cities, through our servers/building energy monitoring solution

WAPPSYS COOLMAX MANAGER integrates the following aspects of Cooling Tower Management:

  • Cooling Tower energy management which takes into account factors like ambient conditions, cooling load, number of towers available (in case of multiple towers) and controllability of actuators (Fan on/off, VFDs etc).
  • Feedback from critical HVAC areas to ensure proper comfort levels are being maintained throughout building (which, not to mention, is the primary goal of the whole building air-conditioning system). This feedback usually goes to the Chillers but in an integrated system can be used by Cooling Tower Manager also to gear up for higher heat load.
  • Chiller and Condenser parameters monitoring to predict possible scaling and/or other potential issues.
  • Water availability both quantitatively and qualitatively. This aspect has huge impact on the kind of water management that would be required and what kind of CoC needs to be achieved.
  • Management of physical and chemical properties of cooling tower water. This is an absolute must to ensure trouble free operation of plant and preventive maintenance whenever required.
