JW Marriott

Concerns:

  • The STP plant which was initially designed   to handle  300 KLD of incoming sewage by other vendor
  • Plant was non performer.
  • The plant was unable to treat even 30 KLD water
  • The quality of treated water was also not up to the mark.
  • This made the hotel to meet their  secondary water requirements through Tanker and BMC water incurring a lot of expenditure.

Requirements:
It was then during January 2007 when the concerned Hotel authorities approached WAPP for providing a solution to their problem. It was a challenge  at that time to streamline this plant with minor modifications only as they wanted to enhance the quantity  as well as quality of treated water without any major modifications.

What we did:
Through our systematic approach

  • we undertook the Operation and maintenance of the plant.
  • Systematic analysis done for specific limitations of the existing plant.
  • Through our  systematic effort and strong technical back-up, we achieved the desired results and today the same plant is able to recycle  good quality  170 KLD treated water

What JW Marriott achieved:

  • Plant is now treating 170 KLD water
  • Treated water is as per pollution control board norms
  • Treated water is used for gardening, flushing and even goes in cooling towers
  •  Drastic decline in water costs
