Technologies
Continual innovation is the key strategy which alongwith our keenness to learn and grow. We are continuously looking for indigenous technologies for specific applications and have taken up non-conventional technologies in the past.
WAPPSYS Oxy-Bio Technology
WAPP offers semi automatic or fully automatic sewage treatment plants (WAPPSYS OXY BIO SERIES) using SBR technology with Ultra/microfiltration and UV for generating water quality of desired stability. These plants are most compact, requiring simple/minimal tanks for fast construction, energy efficient, flexible in both installation and Operation, no dependency on media and membranes for the biological process, very good for part load and fast commissioning/stabilization requirements. Auto-commissioning, remote monitoring, Intelligent system for man less operation are some of the add on features which WAPP offers on specific requirements. WAPPSYS OXY BIO has a national footprint already with many success stories from very small plants to large plants.

Zero Discharge
These water reuse solutions not only benefit the customer's bottom line, but serve to reduce environmental liabilities by reducing consumption and discharge of an increasingly valuable and limited "natural resource”. Besides, minimizing energy consumption and realizing the maximum possible recirculation of processed water leads to zero effluent discharge. WAPP’S zero effluent discharge solutions provide systems, both as a stand-alone wastewater and nutrient recovery systems, or as part of an integrated plant-wide program to minimize or completely eliminate costly disposal of waste or process effluent.
Extended Aeration
Extended aeration process is an improvement over the conventional activated sludge process. In Aeration tank (Extended aeration), suspended microbial growth is maintained for the biological oxidation of organics. Diffused aeration system is provided to meet the oxygen requirement of microorganisms and to keep the liquor in completely mixed regime.
The process usually does not require any primary settling, and sewage after equalization directly goes to the aeration tank. However, in case of higher loadings, primary settling or grit chamber may be required. Elimination of primary settling reduces the initial cost, and also the sludge after extended aeration and secondary settling, is relatively more stabilized.
Submerged Aerated Fixed Film (SAFF)
SAFF treatment is based on aerobic attached growth process and used in the secondary treatment of effluent/sewage treatment plant. The equipment consists of specially designed synthetic media, which facilitates attached fixed film growth of microorganisms. The media is supported by channels. Diffusers are provided for efficient oxygen transfer.
Special features of Submerged Aerated fixed film reactor include it’s compactness, no need to sludge recycle, fixed film growth and high organic loading rates.
TEAM - Waste To Energy Recovery
We can also take up waste segregation/collection and handling services for townships with appropriate technology for energy recovery from solid waste and residue as compost. For hotels, WAPP offers single point solid waste disposal system (Kitchen, OGT, STP screenings /sludge, Green waste) with Biogas generation to replace the LPG fuel in the Kitchens. WAPP has also joined hands with TERI for an effective decentralised waste management technology (TEAM process)
Scrubbers
Scrubbers are devices to control air Pollution from stationary sources. It employs a liquid medium; generally water, to remove particulates and gaseous contaminants from the exhaust by washing. From application point of view, Scrubbers can be classified into 3 broad categories.
- Scrubbers employed to remove only the fumes and installed with the fume extraction systems, which are required for a variety of Industrial process.
- Scrubbers employed to remove only the fine particulates from the exhaust of pneumatic dust handling systems such as Dryers, Grinders, Pneumatic handling and Ventilation systems.
- Scrubbers employed to remove both the particulates and the gaseous contaminants simultaneously from the exhaust of various thermal utility systems such as boilers (both industrial and utility), engines, metal treatment, furnaces, kilns and other specialized Industrial furnaces and ovens.
We, at WAPP have know-how on various high to low energy scrubbers to provide the most optimum solutions for ones needs. These include venturi, wet, cyclone, sieve plate, packed bed, impingement, spray towers etc.
