Ultra Filtration System

Ultra Filtration System

Leveraging the skills of our professionals, we are engaged in offering a large array of Ultra Filtration Plants. This product is highly demanded in the market for filtration purpose and known among-st the customers for its effective usage.

Wapp has achieved widespread recognition in offering Ultra Filtration Plants to the clients. This product is used to remove suspended solids, viruses and other particulates from water. Ultra Filtration Plant is strictly tested on different parameters to ensure no defects under the guidance of professionals.

Ultra Filtration Systems

Offered range is manufactured by the talented and brilliant professionals using tested components and innovative technology as per defined industry norms and standards.

Ultra filtration (UF) is a type of membrane filtration in which hydro static pressure forces a liquid against a semi permeable membrane. Suspended solids and solutes of high molecular weight are retained, while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the membrane.

Ultra filtration is a separation process using membranes with pore sizes in the range of 0.1 to 0.001 micron. Ultra filtration removes high molecular-weight substances, colloidal materials, and organic and inorganic polymeric molecules.

Low molecular-weight organics and ions such as sodium, calcium, magnesium & chloride, and sulfate are not removed.

Capecity we offer

               -Standard product offering-       5-50-M3/Hr

-Other capacities-customized as per need.

Recovery

Recovery of an Ultra filtration system defined as the percentage of the feed water that is converted into the permeate,

R=P/F *100

Where R = Recovery

P= Volume of Permeate

F = Volume of Feed

Ultra filtration Membrane

Ultra filtration membrane modules come in plate-and-frame, spiral-wound, & tubular configurations.  All configurations have been used successfully in different process applications.Each configuration is specially suited for some specific applications and there are many applications where more than one configuration is appropriate.

For high purity water, spiral-wound and capillary configurations are generally used.  The configuration selected depends on the type and concentration of colloidal material or emulsion.

For more concentrated solutions, more open configurations like plate-and-frame and tubular are used.

In all configurations the optimum system design must take into consideration the flow velocity, pressure drop, power consumption, membrane fouling and module cost.

Membrane Materials

A variety of materials have been used for commercial Ultra filtration membranes, but polysulfone and cellulose acetate are the most common.  Recently thin-film composite ultra filtration membranes are introduced.

For high purity water applications the membrane module materials must be compatible with chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide used in sanitizing the membranes on a periodic basis.

Why Wapp for UF Filtration Process ?

Wapp has worked with all technologies for water treatment/Waste water treatment & water reuse. Our experience says ‘During last 20 years , value of water is increasing for almost all businesses due to its scarcity, also treated water is used for various applications under zero liquid discharge norm or otherwise and for making the treated water usable for applications like flushing UF is recommended’.

The primary advantages of low-pressure UF membrane processes compared with conventional clarification and disinfection (post chlorination) processes are:

-No need for chemicals (coagulants, flocculates, disinfectants, pH adjustment);
-Size-exclusion filtration as opposed to media depth filtration;
-Good and constant quality of the treated water in terms of particle and microbial removal
